Cd version "Under the Black Cross" released
printer friendly

The CD version of "Under the Black Cross" is out now!!! Thanks to the hard work of Costa (Iron Pegasus Records) the album was released last Sunday. This made it possible to have some kind of unofficial release party as support for Grave. We're very happy with the outcome of the CD. It looks 100% professional and made all the hard work really worth. This is a an album to be proud of!!! You can order the CD from the band (check the merchandise/For Sale) or from Iron Pegasus Records (www.iron-pegasus.com). The LP release will come soon as possible.

Further we would like to thank everyone who came out to see us at the gig with Hatred, Prostiture Disfigurement, Dew-Scented and Grave. We hope you enjoyed our show.Your support is really appreciated! See you next time! All the best to the bands featured on the bill and the maniacs working at De Pazzop. Good to know Metal still has a future in Bladel!

New artwork ready
printer friendly

The complete layout for the CD has been finished. And yes, this means the artwork as well! Here you can to see Manuel's artwork for the first time:

Just imagine how it'll look when presented on LP. Way better of course! I must say I'm very satisfied with the end result and from this point I would like to thank Manuel for his hard work. It was truely a case of blood, sweat and tears, right? Thanks for the intense and cool cooperation!

The whole layout is now in Costa's hands. There is still some work to be done, but at least major progression has been made. Costa hopes to release the album at the end of March/ beginning of April, but nothing is for sure yet. We all know how the business works, right? Wish us luck!

Release update
printer friendly

Although for you it may seem nothing is happening in the Pentacle-crypts, for us it is an extremely busy period. Evening after evening I am busy doing the layout for the new album. The layout of the CD was supposed to be taken care of in Germany and should have been ready by now, but due lack of time, I was asked to do it myself. This put a lot of pressure on my shoulders to manage to get everything ready on time, but it seems we're going to make it! The layout is very cool and I'm really happy with the result thus far. It has become a professional product, including many cool photos of the band in the studio and in the rehearsal room. I want to thank Frederique Sengers for helping me out on this one. Without her professional attitude it wouldn't have been possible to achieve such a big result on such a short notice. You did a great job!!! Unfortunate, the front cover is still not finished yet. Due to different reasons, Manuel hasn't been able to finish his upcoming master piece yet, so we have to wait for that. I hope he'll manage it asap, as I have no doubt it'll become something very special!

When everything works out as we want to, Metal War Productions is going to release an EP with 2 new songs. Those songs were recorded during the sessions of "Under the Black Cross" and are called "A Hellish Descent" and "Blast them from the Sky!". We are going to use the artwork and title for the aborted 10" with Blood Storm. So, for those who haven't read/heard it yet, the EP is going to be called "Archaic Undead Fury". The contract hasn't been signed yet, but I'm positive about the outcome. The EP should be accompanied by a poster featuring the artwork of the 7". This piece of art was made by Manuel Tinnemans as well. The layout for this EP is almost ready. From this point many thanks to Tony Glebbeek for his dedicated work!

So keep your fingers crossed!!!!

Iron Pegasus news and more
printer friendly

Pentacle wishes all of you a heavy 2005!

Ok, Iron Pegasus has announced the new album but the release date is not clear yet. We'll keep you informed about this.

I.P. 042: PENTACLE "Under the Black Cross" CD
(Brandnew studioalbum from Netherlands' most faithful existing Death Metal band that keeps the old Dutch tradition alive. This concept album is overloaded with heaviest Death Metal exclusively, with morbid old style riffing and death-ly vocals. The ultraheavy production at Harrow Studios, i.e. ASPHYX, MELECHESH, SOULBURN, etc, guarantees a sound that bombs you out of the safest bunker)

I've added 2 pictures to the miscelleneous section of the gallery. Some of our fans have submited a picture of their Pentacle tattoo. I have added mine as well(this is a part of the cover from our upcomming ep). If there are more of you that have a Pentacle Tattoo just send a picture to us, we might start a contest about the best Pentacle Tattoo if we have enough pictures.

News on new release
printer friendly

Here is some important news concerning the Pentacle / Blood Storm 10". Here's a statement by Spencer from Metal War Productions.

Our apologies go out to all who have been waiting for the Pentacle / Blood Storm split 10", but we regret to inform you that it will not be happening. It has come to our attention that 2 members of Blood Storm have been airing personal issues in an attempt to damage our name. We had the best wishes for them and their future endeavors but no record label in their right mind, no matter how big or small, would put out a release and back a band who does not back the label. This release has been plagued with delays from the beginning and finally, everything was in place and we were ready to do the release anyway as a gesture of civil diplomacy, despite the slander that was going on about us. We've since then had to rethink our viewpoint (as any label would in the same situation) and we cannot go forward with this release. However, we will not dwell on past problems or stubbornly hold detrimental grudges. So once again we apologize to everyone who has waited so patiently (and impatiently) for this release. Maybe when the gossip gets old and tired, or when people realize that things happen for the best, and bitterness and malice-driven actions do not solve anything or achieve any constructive goals. They just perpetuate the problems, prolonging the achievement of positive accomplishments. This decision was not meant to cause any backlash against them, or to fuel any controversy or gossip. It is just a decision based on what's best for Metal War, both personally and professionally. Many thanks go the mighty Pentacle for understanding our position, and to continue our commitment to them, we are in negotiations with them planning a special 7" release including a poster and possibly some other extras as well.

Spencer J. Murphy, Metal War Productions

Well, it's a shame the whole project didn't work out after all. After so many years of waiting and hard work concerning the lay-out. It was a bitter moment for me when Spencer's e-mail arrived at my home, yet there's not much we can do about it. I hope the 7" EP will materialize, but right now it's a bit too early to talk about it. We'll keep you informed.

Wannes
