Update new release

Misc
Currently I am busy with completing the preparation for the upcoming CD re-release of our 1998 album “…Rides the Moonstorm” through Kneel before the Master’s Throne (http://www.mastersthrone.de) from Germany. This CD will be released as a digipack featuring all the original lyrics and credits. Along with hundreds of other re-releases this album will feature loads of old photos and flyers plus some noble words from the guys themselves. No bonus material will be featured as I want to keep “… Rides…” as pure as the album was intended to be. Stay tuned for more updates.

Here’s another recent interview. All hails to John and the Ancient Death website!

Iron Pegasus will release a very limited amount of new Pentacle shirts. Expect something simple and effective in the true Costa-vein.

We received the Ibex Moon-version of our last album “Under the Black Cross” and it came out really well. The digipack and the booklet look great and the sound is as brutal as ever. We would like to thank John McEntee and Ibex Moon Records for making this all possible.
For those who are interested, you can obtain your copy from us personally. Please transfer 15 Euros/18 US Dollars (including P&P) to our PayPal account (See for sale section).
As stated before, the digipack comes with lyrics and a cover track of Necrovore’s “Divus de Mortuus” recorded during the “Under the Black Cross” sessions.

US release on Ibex Moon Records for "Under the Black Cross"

US release on Ibex Moon Records for "Under the Black Cross"

As was the case with its predecessor “Ancient Death”, our latest album “Under the Black Cross” is a very honest and raw sounding Death Metal offering. Don’t expect something fancy. Being inspired by classic acts as Venom, Celtic Frost, Possessed, Mantas/Death and Pentagram (Chile), this is pure obscure extreme underground Metal the Pentacle style. Recorded in the studio where we laid all our other previous albums on tape (Harrow Productions), “Under the Black Cross” features a heavy production with its raw edges, as it is meant to be.

The US-version of “Under the Black Cross” contains some extras the Euro-release didn’t feature. For the first time on CD, one will be able to read the whole lyrical output dealing with the concept of “Under the Black Cross”, being Operation Chariot. This was a daring British Commando Raid that took place at Saint Nazaire, France, 1942. Now you can experience all the facts about wartime horror, honour, glory and most of all…death.

Except for our eight original compositions, we’ve included our personal interpretation of Necrovore’s “Divus de Mortuus”. Being a major influence for Pentacle we are truly honoured to present you this track. Mind you, you can never replace the original, but we’re damn proud of our own version!

Being around in this scene with Pentacle for almost 18 years now, we can say we’ve achieved another personal high-light. It literally took blood, sweat and tears to get this record done, but we made it happen. We hope all you Death Metal heads will share our feelings about this album and that you’ll enjoy it as much as we do. Remember…Death Metal came with the Wind.

We want to thank John McEntee and Ibex Moon Records for giving this album an US-release. This is very much appreciated!

The release is sheduled for October.

Finally!!! After several delays of different nature, the wait is over! Today, we got the news from Costa (Iron Pegasus) the “Under the Black Cross” picture disc is complete and ready to hit the streets. The vinyl itself was ready for quite a while, but it took a bit before the booklets were printed. We’re very sorry we weren’t able to present the album at our gig with Sadistic Intent (Hails!) or the Party.san festival, but we’re glad it worked out after all. Check the photo to see the end result.

Utbc

This release contains the picture disc featuring the alternative artwork, an 8 pages booklet and a sticker. The first 150 copies will have a gatefold cover as well. Mind you, this release features the same cover as the initial pressing of the “Under the Black Cross” LP, so nothing new or fancy. Costa had some covers left and we all thought it was a cool idea to present a limited amount of picture discs this way. See it as an extra gift. We hope you’ll enjoy this release!
We want to thank the following persons for their big input. Without them, this release wouldn’t have been possible. Here we go: Costa Stoios for releasing this gem, Manuel Tinnemans for the awesome artwork and Dick de Wit for the layout. Thank you all for your dedicated work! It’s very much appreciated!
For those interested, you can obtain this release directly from us. Check “For Sale” for the price.
